Intelife to acquire Brightwater’s Linen Division to expand inclusive employment opportunities

Intelife has announced it will acquire Brightwater’s Linen Division, with the proposed sale subject to completion later this year.

The acquisition marks a significant step in Intelife’s continued growth and strengthens its ability to create meaningful employment and long-term career pathways for people with disability across Western Australia.

Brightwater’s commercial linen service has been a trusted provider since 1999, with a strong reputation built by its Malaga-based team and long-standing customer relationships across Perth and regional Western Australia.

It is proposed that the business will continue to operate with the same team and service model, ensuring certainty and continuity for customers, employees, and suppliers.

Intelife CEO Paul Fleay said the acquisition directly supports the organisation’s mission to create real opportunities for people with disability.

“We are delighted to welcome Brightwater’s Linen Division into the Intelife Group. The team has built a strong reputation for reliability and care, and we look forward to building on that foundation,” Mr Fleay said.

“Growing our commercial operations is how we increase opportunity. This acquisition strengthens our business and allows us to create more meaningful jobs and open up long-term career pathways for people with disability across Western Australia.”

Once the transition is complete, the commercial linen service will sit alongside Intelife Group’s other commercial businesses – further diversifying its commercial portfolio and increasing the scale of its social impact.

Brightwater will continue to focus on its mission of delivering high-quality aged care and disability services.

Brightwater CEO Professor Catherine Stoddart said: “Brightwater’s Linen Division has been an important part of our organisation for many years, and we are incredibly proud of the team and the service they deliver. We are confident that Intelife is the right organisation to carry this work forward. Their commitment to quality, community and inclusive employment reflects the values we share.”

The transition will take effect on completion, with both organisations working closely together to ensure a seamless and positive experience for employees, customers, and partners.
