Welcome to another edition of our Newsletter. It has been a busy period in the business with the transition to the federal NDIS scheme formally taking effect on 1 July 2018.  We continue to work with our participants and their families to make the transition as smooth as is possible.


I would also like to welcome Chris Stuhmcke to our team as our Chief Operating Officer; Chris beings strong disability sector experience which will be crucial to our continued service improvement focus.


As we begin the new financial year we do so with a clear vision of the future of the business following a review of our Strategic Plan. We are seeking to invest in our business to improve the services we offer and to develop our workforce to ensure we can seize the opportunities that NDIS offers. I have personally enjoyed conducting a roadshow in each of our offices over the last month providing staff with an update on recent business developments and what our focus is for the next two years as we transition to NDIS.


A key strategy is to build the capability and capacity of our workforce and we are currently conducting an employee survey and will be running workshops in the coming weeks to identify capability needs and develop innovative approaches to service delivery. We will also be seeking to grow our ADE business which offer terrific development opportunities for people to build skills, socialize and provide a meaningful contribution to their community via supported employment.

To help the business grow and to improve our communication with participants and stakeholders we also recently appointed a marketing company, Adcorp, to assist in getting the Intelife message out to everyone.
