Intelife has recently signed-up to eKarma, a WA-based social enterprise which raises funds for charities by having people shop online.

eKarma, which was established by Perth couple Pankaj and Kim Sharma, is based on the concept of karma and ‘giving it back’, and aims to raise funds for registered charities by harnessing the power of online shopping in Australia and donating a percentage of each sale to charity.

"We believe that as long as karma exists the world changes, and if we can contribute to the paying it forward philosophy and make a difference to people's lives, then it is worth it," Mr Sharma said.

"eKarma uses the power of technology to raise funds on a daily basis without it costing a cent more for the customer - you can shop for your favourite brands and still get the same price, offers or discounts that you would have received by shopping directly."

Mr Sharma explained that the number of partnered shopping site was growing every day, and that the selection of Intelife as the current charity of the month would increase the exposure for the disability service provider.

"We're very impressed with the Intelife's experience and the work they do for the community, so we hope that the funds raised by shoppers through our site will make a difference to the people they support and help to support inclusive communities."
